Sean is my all time favorite fighter. It's not that he's the greatest of all time (not to take away from him), but he's legitimately the only reason MMA is interesting to me again. You never know what he's gonna say or post. The most unhinged justifiable rants or just randomly firing off posts about eating ants. Also his sparring match with Sneako earned him a ton of points. I like that he has a genuine mean streak. I feel like a lot of fighters are just genuinely nice guys. It's refreshing to see a fighter who is just inherently violent and likes hurting people. When he stops fighting, I'll probably lose all interest in MMA again.

Every time Ian Garry hasn’t fought or done any media for a while, people start to come around to him and think he’s an alright guy. Then he does media again when he has a fight coming up and everyone starts to remember why they hated him 😂

This is two fold: 1. Most fighters aren’t willing or capable of doing what Conor did in his peak run. 2. The UFC isn’t going to allow all of it. 1. Conor blew up because he talked mad shit and went 7-1 in a 27 month window. Most fighters don’t stay that active. None of the biggest fighters today— Islam, Khamzat, Illia, Alex— are good on the mic, and only Alex has had an active run. It’s impossible to imagine Illia or Islam going up two weight classes and fighting just to fight. 2. The UFC would never allow someone to go fight up two weight classes before defending their belt like Conor. They probably wouldnt turn around for a rematch in 3 months like they did for him either. They won’t let anyone go for simultaneous double champ status. And they certainly won’t let them build their profile with a block buster boxing match while under contract. It was all lucrative for the UFC at the time under the ppv model, but it backfired when Conor lost his hunger and also got injured.

@BlindBearMedia I also have to say the fighting business on YT is a massive sleeper. No rage quitting his content ever. Should be way bigger than he is.
