US coffee prices are surging at a record pace: The average price of ground roast coffee is up to a record $9.46 per pound. In February, coffee prices jumped +30.5% YoY, and have surged +127% since January 2020. Over the same period, ground beef prices have risen +73% to $6.74 per pound, near an all-time high. Furthermore, steak prices have soared +66% to a record $12.74 per pound. Overall, the "food at home" category price level is up +31% while "food away from home" is up +36% since January 2020. Food inflation remains a major issue.

Gym owners first week of January

When I speak on a thing, it's from personal experience. I have PTSD, Major Depression, SAD, Mood Swing Disorder, & OCD. I spent many years in and out of mental facilities short and long term, tried nearly every psych med and experienced every side effect, went to a day treatment program five days a week for over a year, and attempted suicide five times. The last time I was comatose and it took me a year to recover. Through all of this, I came to know the signs of when things were beyond my control and 911 was my only backup. I also learned different coping mechanisms that have kept me out of mental facilities since 1997. One thing that still bothers me is when folk say someone is using mental illness to get attention. I was making more money than I could spend, my places were nicely decorated, and I wore new clothes almost everyday. Just think about that... What can Kai gain from talking about mental health? It can only help others going through struggles by him speaking about it openly. I'm proud of the man you've grown up to be @KaiCenat .

Compounding inflation is a global crisis: Since January 2021, the UK gas experienced the largest surge in prices among major economies, at +28.2%. The US saw cumulative inflation of +23.8%, followed by the Euro Area at +23.1% and Germany at +21.2%. France’s cumulative inflation reached +15.1%, while Japan recorded +12.4% over the same period. On the other hand, China saw only a +2.8% cumulative CPI increase, as the country has been struggling with weak domestic demand and a real estate downturn. Put simply, consumers in major economies have lost 21% to 28% of their purchasing power since January 2021. Own assets or be left behind.

Gold is becoming unaffordable: It now takes 116 hours of work in the US to buy 1 ounce of gold, the most in at least 100 years. This comes as gold prices hit a record close of ~$4,225, while average hourly earnings reached $36.50 in August. The ratio has DOUBLED in just 18 months the surge in gold prices has far outpaced income growth. This surpasses the previous peaks of ~80 hours seen in the 1930s, 1980, and 2011. By comparison, at the start of the century, it took less than 20 hours to buy 1 ounce of gold. Gold's rally is even stronger than you think.
