Is it that you’d rather have no chance at all then to have had a chance that was missed? Or is it that u think Gyokeres being on the pitch means that the team was winning BECAUSE he played. Even if he doesn’t score in a game and negatively impacts our overall play, just his presence is what made us win games. Genuinely trying to understand the mindset of people like you cause there’s a lot 🤣

Kai Havertz will miss 99 chances, scores one and Arsenal fans act likes he’s some prime Lewandowski. How many duels did Haaland win against Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães today? I could barely count 3 duels he won yet it took only one moment in box and he delivered the telling moment of the game. Mikel Arteta on the other hand benched his top scorer for Kai Havertz who has always cost us games in the past and he did just that today again.

Based on the 20 wins with him in the league as striker, I'll take my chances vs the BCM bandit.
As a collective we need to stop pretending that fluid footy and a loss is better than the literal 3/1 points that we need. If Havertz could finish, I'd have no problem but I'm fucking tired of seeing him bush 1v1s and get babied because he can knock down a ball and run into space.

Number 14 registered 0 attempts, 0 shots on target, 40 touches in 207 minutes against City this season. He's had 0 npg shots on target against top 8 in EPL this season.
Kai had 30 touches, 5 shots, 2 on target, and a goal against City away. He totally transformed how we play. He occupied defenders, held the ball up, brought others into play, was dangerous in the air... everyone clearly trusts him. Give him Saka next week and we are going to be very good.
Big chances need to go in. They didn't. I can forgive a volume striker missing chances (Haaland also missed chances today), I can't forgive 0 attempts, 0 on target game after game against semi-decent opposition.

Ultimately the highlight reels will define Kai Havertz’ game today. And even though I disagree with it, that’s sadly how it is, since he should have scored at least one of them. But what I saw was a player who has clearly been trying to get back up to speed following an injury ridden year, since today was his first 90 of the season. And I saw a player who gave us a fighting chance by being a consistent out ball. Without him, we wouldn’t have even competed today.

Story of our season is fitness. You’ve seen with a remotely fit Kai over Gyokeres we would’ve won the league already. And today with a half fit Odegaard & Kai we were so good in the other half, they just don’t have the legs to do it for 90, and the game became too open.

beg for Havertz to play, because the main role of the striker is apparently to help the team play fluid footy. Well, he played, only goal was an intercepted pass from the keeper, and missed a free header and a 1v1.

The focus this summer, with Arteta at the helm or not, has to be getting a GOALSCORING winger.
