I spent the past month working on a browser engine from scratch in C++ following @BrowserBook. Browsers have always been a black box to me and I've really enjoyed understanding the components that make up these complex operating systems. I'm around 40% done and plan to continue!

Started building a toy browser in Python from scratch following @BrowserBook. Tried it before, didn’t continue… but this time it’s different (I hope 😅). Finished Chapter 1 and completed all 9 exercises. Github: github.com/ArunRawat404/B…

@R_P_A__ Yes, at least in many countries. You can find it on Amazon, B&N, Bookshop, or a variety of other resellers; you probably know what's the best place to buy books in your country.

@awesomekling @BrowserBook I almost feel it would be super interesting to build the simplest, most beautiful code browser as a teaching project, ignoring performance and focus on simplicity

We've been reading the final proof of Web Browser Engineering. I'm amazed: it is 512 pages long, way longer than it felt while writing it. Publication is getting closer by the day!
