Whose standards? Integrity according to whom? You can’t get around the fact that any form of morality is based in a Christian worldview.

@WilliamJSwaney @MikeCosper Maybe. I don't know. But it seems like a fair response considering those drugs will kill hundreds, if not thousands of people. Isn't that what our government should do, protect its people?

Human beings are made in the image of God and have infinite value & worth. This idea is what birthed the western tradition. Turning lethal, justifiable acts of war or criminal actions — which we still lack evidence is the case here — into fodder for jokes and memes, is an insult to the Imago Dei and to God himself. And in the moments after it has been reported that a no quarter order was given, it’s especially despicable.

@WilliamJSwaney @MikeCosper I am pro-life, and I desire their salvation. But that doesn’t negate the duty of the state to protect its citizens nor does it eliminate the desire for justice.

We aren’t the arbiters of vengeance, we can hold accountable without death and without removing the possibility of redemption. Jesus loves them and wants to draw them near to him, not kill them
