This is a real conversations among a Canadian needing help, & a Canadian offering help. It is the hardest thing in the world for a proud man/woman to admit they need help w/ the cost of living. So difficult to admit the work you’re putting in isn’t bringing the results it did for our parents or grandparents. It’s crushing not to be able to provide basic needs for a family. Poilievre does what Trudeau just won’t, or simply cannot. He LISTENS. He shows empathy. He offers solutions. He doesn’t tell him about a 2-week GST break that will affect grocery prices in the most minuscule fashion. He also doesn’t tell him that 83-year olds in his community now are getting financial help w/ dental bridges or root canals or that the government is “fighting climate change” with the dude’s tax dollars. This is not only good communication - it’s hearing people’s struggles & pain.
