More rounds of rain over the next 6-10 days. Keep the umbrella nearby as we are stuck in a wet pattern through the Memorial Day weekend and most of the following week.

FIRST ALERT: We have been getting drenched and there is no end in sight. Over the next 5-7 days, rain coverage stays at 60-70%. There will be some dry times, but plan for rain and a few heavy downpours through the Memorial Day weekend.

FIRST ALERT: We need rain but this pattern is a bit much. Some areas of the River Parishes got 6-near 8" of rain. Keep the umbrellas close as we see high rain chances through Memorial Day.

FIRST ALERT: Heavy rain & downpours in the River Parishes dropping 3-in some spots 6" of rain in the last couple of hours. These downpours are slowly moving towards the south and north shore metro. Rain should taper off later tonight. More heavy rain through the holiday weekend.

FIRST ALERT: For gradually higher rain chances as we head deeper into the new week. By Wednesday through the memorial Day weekend will see 60-70% coverage. Some dry times, but several rounds of rain and a few storms.

FIRST ALERT: Rain chances are heading higher as the week progresses. Keep the rain gear ready as we will see passing showers, a few storms and downpours. An early summer pattern is taking shape.

Spotty rain & a stray storm chance as we head into the afternoon. Many will see dry skies w/ 30% coverage over the area. Temps will be warm in the 83-85° range. . Rain chances stick around through the new week ahead.

Rain chances will be on the rise starting today. Most shoers and spotty storms will be daytime heat driven most in the afternoon. Not a washout each day , but hit and miss storms will become more common. Highs stay warm and muggy in the mid 80s.

Dry skies through Saturday into late morning Sunday. Warm moist air off the Gulf will ignite spotty showers & a stray storm Sunday afternoon and early evening. Not a washout but some hit and miss showers to end the weekend. Highs mid 80s & lows in the 70s.

We stay dry for election day on Saturday as warm and humid air stays in place. Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Sunday through noon we are dry. Afternoon and evening showers with a storm or 2 will be around. not a washout, but keep an eye to the sky.

Dry for now as we see sunny skies. We will see a few more clouds Friday-Saturday but no rain and almost hot at 86°. Next rain chance Sunday at 40%. Not a washout, but some hit and miss showers.

Even with the heavy rain late last week into the weekend, the drought monitor has shown little improvement, but most of the area is in a severe drought. Next rain chance midday Sunday.

Dry skies and low humidity over the next couple of days. Highs in the mid to upper 80s will be balanced with the better feeling dry air in place. Lows tonight comfy cool 62-64°n and 66-69°s. Next low rain chance arrives Sunday at only 20%.

We continue to dry out along with a much better feel to the air with lower humidity. Although warm in the mid 80s, it feels much nicer outdoors. We will see a gradual return to the muggy feel late week into the weekend. Low rain chance returns Sunday.

As clouds increase, rain chances will follow suit as Wednesday will se a few stray shower with many dry times. Heavier more prolonged rain Thursday and Friday as we put out a FIRST ALERT for these days. Get the umbrellas ready!

Dry for now, but wet weather is on the way. A FIRST ALERT is being issued for high rain chances starting Thursday through Friday night. Gey the rain gear ready as we will see a few downpours and isolated gusty winds.

Changes are on the way as the cooler temps and lower humidity are replaces by warmer temps, higher humidity and storm chances especially Thursday and Friday. We are putting out a FIRST ALERT for these 2 days.
