#1LISD Finance department recommended and the #LISDBoard approved a one-time payment of $1,000 to full-time employees & $500 for part-time positions, including crossing guards and teacher fellows. Thank you #1LISD staff for the hard work and investment in our students!

Gov. Abbott announced a 30-day special session to begin Oct. 9 to provide private school subsidies, aka vouchers, or education savings accounts. @LeanderISD strongly opposes vouchers in any form. Public $'s belong in Public Schools #1LISD

Recently I had a great visit with a former TEAM HISD member who is now a superintendent. Our conversation turned into a discussion about exit interviews. While many districts use them, they tell you nothing about why people stay. You cannot learn excellence by studying failure.
