@OrbValleyBirder Hi Dave, I hope you don’t mind me asking, a group of us from Sussex are thinking about a birding trip to Oman next Feb. I saw your posts earlier this year and wonder if you have any advice. Have read a few trip reports but can’t decide on how best a 10/12 day trip. Thanks Bruce

White Crowned Sparrow at Seaford Head finally revealed itself nicely for me at 9.15 this morning.

Nightingale at work in Ashington today along with several Blackcaps and Chiffs followed by a pair of Garganey showing really well at Waltham Brooks. Also 2 Sedge warblers plus lots of swallows and Sand Martins. Spring at last!

Nice Dartford warbler showing well at Cissbury this morning. Few other migrants, Willow warbler, Sand Martin over.

Last photo from a few days in Fuerteventura, some great birds and friendly folk. RB Tropic bird performed daily giving fabulous views.Can’t wait to get back and go through all my pics.

Busy few days with a work trip to Bristol and few minutes with a beautiful drake Long Tailed Duck then day off,Canber for Drake Greater Scaup at Camber and Spoonbill just as I was leaving Dung. Also Bittern and good supporting cast.

What a bird! Sabine’s at Havant today was fabulous in it’s summer plumage. Happy days.

Out and about on the downs, busy with raptors in the sun and Grey Wagtail in the flooded garden back home in Wiston. Have a great year folks.

Calm at Shoreham harbour this morning, 2x Egyptian geese fly by, 3 Razorbills feeding of west entrance usual flock of Greenfinches and m,pits plus the long staying female type Black Redstart.

Epic sky whilst gull watching at Littlehampton, unfortunately a Little gull didn’t oblige with a rainbow shot, just one adult this afternoon briefly.

I adult little gull,6 kittiwakes Shoreham harbour entrance west side this morning.

Bit busier at Cissbury this morning.3+ Dartford Warblers amongst the numerous Stonechats. Passing groups of Redwings,Fieldfares, Mpipits, and skylarks. Plus this Short Eared Owl over.

Bit of a moth fest in Wiston this morning in the trap, Merveille du Jour x 8 , Palpita vitrealis, Rush Veneer X 6 to name a few.

Saw my first U.K. Firebugs today at the bird obs in Dungeness.

Amazing out from Scillies last night, saw so much, distracted by a magnificent Blue shark when this happened FEA’S! Can’t wait to get out today.
