Dude literally didn’t recruit, mistreated players, and would do stuff like moving shoot arounds in order to allow him to play golf (sometimes on game days) This level hubris and self importance is exactly what caused him to fail at vandy

With seven of our eight transfers having found new homes, I thought it would be interesting to view last years roster/minutes from a deconstructed perspective to see if we over/under performed. Basically, I am viewing what level our minutes will be playing at next year. Here were the results: 34.0% MID MAJOR STARTER 32.8% P5 STARTER 17.2% NBA 2WAY/2ROUNDER 10.6% P5 ROLEPLAYER 4.7% GRAD NO PRO 0.5% P5 RESERVE I mean if this is not telling...I don't know what is.

How is Eli Stowers not a first round pick? Take away the Vanderbilt uniform and look at the resume. First Team All-SEC, a 45.5 inch vertical, a record setting broad jump, speed, and a WR route tree at TE. He is a first round pick if you replace the uniform. What a joke

@cjff13 @NUBALLKNOWER U seem really intelligent.A majority of the schools you mentioned lower there standards to get guys in.Some of the elite institutions aren’t willing to do that. The Harvard of the South(SEC school)finally did and dropped from a 3.5 to a 2.6. And look at how many leave after 1yr

@Boosheadband I think the IQ of this team will be really high and teams won’t be able to just focus on stopping one guy. They will have to pick their poison. We will have to put a system in place defensively to cover Jack’s lack of defense

I would love us to go the euro route. I like some of the pieces on this team next year just it feels like we are missing the guy. No Boo,Brooks,Nick type player that you know will carry the big load. Unless Jake takes a jump to like 15 and 5, I feel like this team won’t be good.

@NUBALLKNOWER 99% of everyone on here disagrees! You have experienced players that come from winning and a few that have played meaningful minutes before on the P4 level. NU has a better transfer class right now than Baylor and Kentucky. Sometimes think before speaking.

Feels like the players we brought in are worse then the ones leaving. Sure, we have some decent pieces but this team is destined for the basement of the big ten. Feel for Jake.

Hi Dakota, appreciate your feedback. This is a bad example of our metrics as it was during a period where we were dealing with some technical difficulties and a huge error in the formula. Our valuations are not built on being perfectly accurate, but are built on calling hits and misses from the portal. Here is what Xander Alarie's metrics should look like:

Hard to understate the level of recruiting acumen Mark Byington has brought in with the hires of Joel Justus and Rodney Terry. Vandy undoubtedly has one of the best staffs in the country. This also speaks to the resources being allocated to the program by VU and with NIL.
