Every summer, the best high school wrestlers in America pack their bags and head to Fargo, North Dakota, to compete in the USA Wrestling Junior & 16U National Championships. For one week, the FARGODOME transforms into the largest wrestling tournament in the world, with thousands of athletes battling across dozens of mats from morning until night. Many of the sport's biggest names — NCAA champions and Olympians alike — took their first steps toward greatness on these very mats. Simply earning the right to compete in Fargo means you belong among the best in the country, and this year, three BHS wrestlers can say exactly that. Logan Matousek and Carter Wickes competed last weekend. Marisa McCartin takes the mat starting today! Our alumni are catching air and landing big dreams! At just 9 years old, Aaden Reed discovered his passion for BMX, and since then, he’s been on an incredible journey. A recent graduate of @BCSDBrunswickHS and the @mcjvs, Aaden is now training in Cleveland alongside Olympians as part of the USA BMX Olympic Development Program. His dedication has led him to an impressive 22 national podium finishes, including a national title in 2026 at COR Park in Utah. Now, he’s gearing up for the World Championships, set to take place from August 6 to 9 in Birmingham, Alabama. We’re so proud of Aaden and can’t wait to see where his dreams take him next! Our students are doing incredible things! Congratulations to @BCSDBrunswickMS student Leigha Nolan, who is making some serious strides! Leigha qualified for the New Balance Nationals Outdoor Championships in Philadelphia as a 6th GRADER! But she didn't slow down there. On the Fourth of July, Leigha crossed the finish line at the Medina Twin Sizzler 5K as the second-place female with a time of 19:26! Way to go, Leigha! Here is an update from Medina County, where a brand-new high school is currently under construction for @BrunswickCSD. The future 301,740-square-foot facility is on track to open in 2027 and will serve approximately 1,700 students in grades 9-12.

Our students are serving up amazing things! @BCSDBrunswickMS students Harper Reynolds and Ally Justice traveled to Minneapolis to compete in the 2026 USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. Harper's Southwest Volleyball Club team finished strong in the 13 American division, and Ally's Cleveland Volleyball Company team placed 5th in the nation in the 13 Open division. Way to go, Harper and Ally! INSPIRATION ALERT! Our alumni are making a difference! Seven summers ago, a 13-year-old Cayden de Wever started caddying for his dad, Jerry, who is legally blind. Today, that partnership has earned him the title of 2026 American Blind Golf Coach of the Year. The @BCSDBrunswickHS Class of 2024 grad coached at this year's Phoenix Cup, an international tournament for golfers with disabilities held right here in Ohio. As a sighted guide, Cayden lines up every shot, selects the clubs, and reads the greens — his dad provides the swing. It's a sport built entirely on trust and communication.
