Agree. But I am being a bit conservative here for the ‘highly marketed’ 4000 crore figure. I don’t think that’s entirely true. Even the highest budget films like Force Awakens, Endgame, Avatars etc had a budget of around 400m individually. And as James would say each of these Avatar movies would needed to make 2b to be profitable for that budget. So I don’t think Namit’s 4000 crore claim is entirely true. For which it needs to make more than 1b across both movies. That’s too big of a task for an industry which is yet to break a 300m ceiling.
