I've officially finished 106th/4254 at the Grand Champs Festival Encore! Losing my top cut contention to a knock off crit ohko on froslass + double matcha burn did hurt but my team was just so fun I wanted to continue playing it! With that said, here's a team report in threads!

@BruteTemp The team has been a god send. Dragapult and Glimmora believer now for sure. Added scary face grimm alongside icy wind/life dew milotic for some speed control and ladder has never felt so low cortisol, thanks for sharing!

@Senseishun I like leading dragapult glimmora vs big 6.Vs rain I like leading staraptor dragapult. That’s kinda my main guidelines. If you don’t know what to do dragapult is a good lead.

@BruteTemp is there a default two that you lead with or any teams that you have particular two leading with?

@yoCassius I don’t know tbh…..I’ve haven’t really been thinking about the team ever since I got this far.

@BruteTemp Do you mind sharing some mons you think that would help round out this core of guys? I’ve tried a few combinations and I definitely think some type of defensive support helps a ton to get roosts/SDs off. Like a maus/clef/grimm/fake out but I’m not sure about the last piece.

@ChrisRoger29791 That’s fair- it definitely would make the staraptor mode more threatening.

@BruteTemp I get that but you already have 4 pokemon that can go in whenever. If you identify there's no huge threat to staraptor it could be a good fifth mon. Probably better than the chople fairy haha

@ChrisRoger29791 I think corv could be cool with a standard set but I don’t want to run a “boost the king” set….feels too linear for my liking.

@BruteTemp You may want to consider corviknight as another mon. Not only does it learn everything staraptor would think it needs, like scary face, tailwind, feather dance, fake tears, metal sound/screech, it also learns the move defog, clearing opposing screens and raises staraptors evasion

@hermesvgc I ironically found myself megaing glimmora more games on high ladder than mega staraptor……it’s def needed if you really hate it I GUESS you can try sitrus berry but the added bulk and ko potential(Adapatability) and speed is super helpful in mus.

@BruteTemp Wait thats not only 4 mons but also only 3 items since you can mega one pokemon😭 would you consider another item on glimm maybe?

@zpowerednathan Nice!My theory on adding a 5th or 6th is turning the offensive counterplay this team has against the meta into defensive counterplay and Grimm def does that!

@BruteTemp Went 8-1 with this and scary face grimm to get master ball rank 2. Grimm helps staraptor get the first few boosts in matchups pult can't reliably spread burn and is also really good vs TR where it can just sit there and spam spirit break and scary face gambit to under speed tork

@scarl74 Yeah pretty much. Chople berry alcremie and babiri berry araquinid are (unsurprisingly) not meant to be brought.

@BruteTemp So are the last 2 mons just for fun? Like you always just bring the first 4?

@karma05_ You prob want something to discourage anti dragapult leads like whimsicott so maybe a ninetales.

@BruteTemp Can you think of 2 Mons you could put as the useless ones to mind control enemies into picking bad mons into the matchup?

@zpowerednathan Nice! I’m happy that you are using the team! Pop bomb maushold is something that looks really good if you solve the chomp Basculegion and kingambit mu….which the team kinda does.

@BruteTemp I added pop bomb maus which feels pretty good. It can suprise sash mons and redirect a few attacks to let staraptor safely roost. Not sure about the last, considering scarf ghold or scarf typholsion-h, thinking something you can bring out last and clean after burn/poison chip

I have officially ended 61st in the 898 player Smogon VGC major live tour! RNG hasn't been too kind to me but still quite happy with my play as it was my first time playing a tour this big! My team has been quite fun but yall will have to wait for the paste till next week sorry!

I think every game I lead dragapult so it's def the mvp.....you can play super cavalier with it! I'm learning the power of frail mons so I'm super proud of myself. Anyway you should use this team and figure out if you can be the person to complete the team!(6/6)

I started my ladder run very promisingly with a 19-0 start and 80% gxe and so I turned my sights on number one!...I somehow started with megaing star every game but the more I played the team the more I found myself megaing glimm! In 3 days I hit number one!(5/6)
