Bryan County offices, animal services, senior services, and all other non-public safety offices are closing at 12:00 p.m. today, January 9, 2024, due to the forecasted severe weather. All services will continue tomorrow January 10, 2024.
Due to the severe weather forecasted for tonight, January 9, 2024, the Bryan County Board of Commissioners meeting in Pembroke has been postponed until January 16, 2024. The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting originally scheduled for January 16, 2024 has been cancelled.
Bryan County Schools have closed for tomorrow January 9, 2024 due to forecasted strong winds and potential strong thunderstorms later in the day. Prepare your homes for low temperatures and tie down any items that may fly away in strong winds.
A section of Belfast Keller Road will begin paving operations requiring single lane closures beginning on Monday January 8, 2024 until at least Wednesday, January 10, 2024. The roadway will be open to traffic. Detour along Great Ogeechee Parkway to Harris Trail to avoid delays.

Atlantic Waste will be closed on Christmas Day and then the pickup schedule will run one day behind. Example: Monday pickup will be on Tuesday; Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, etc.
Olive Branch Road has been reopened to through traffic. Signage is in the area to alert drivers to the bump in the road at the creek crossing. Please use caution in the area.
What a great turnout for both the Pembroke and Richmond Hill Christmas parades. Bryan County Commissioners and staff would like to thank everyone for coming out. We definitely gave out all the candy we had and enjoyed our time in the trolley. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
Bryan County Public Works will require the closure of a portion of Olive Branch Road between Little John Lane and Homestead Drive beginning December 4, 2023, until at least December 18, 2023. The closure is required to upgrade stormwater piping.
