This is not true. The economy tanked. People realized problems at home could be fixed with $$$ going abroad. People lost loved ones. It's why this war is extremely unpopular.

The reason people have learned no real lessons from the disaster of the Iraq War is simple: no one — outside of Iraqis, people in the region, U.S. service members, allied forces, and their families — paid a price for the horrific decisions that were made.
