@Wolf_VanVader@baldie267@Jimfrombaseball It wasn’t exactly the dead ball era as in the beginning of Ruth’s career, but the ball wasn’t juiced as it is now. Mantle was other worldly when he connected. I saw him on TV and in person late in his career. McGuire came close to his power at times, but he was “enhanced”.
"No man in the history of baseball had as much power as Mickey Mantle.
No man.
You're not talking about ordinary power.
Mays had power.
Then when you're talking about Mantle, it's an altogether different level.
Separates the men from the boys."
Billy Martin.
Mickey Mantle tossing his bat aside and beginning his trot around the bases after hitting his 500th career home run off of pitcher Stu Miller of the Baltimore Orioles, at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York City, 14 May 1967.
Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire.
The typical American household would have to work more than 11 MILLION years to make Elon Musk's level of wealth.
We need a wealth tax.
@RealDeanCain DC has lost it. Melissa Benoist seemed to be a great Supergirl until the show turned woke over the last few seasons and she is even worse than the show was!
It’s been a very exciting week in the Miller household.
Hawthorne Hayes Miller was born on June 3rd at 9:04am growing our crew to 4 kids 5 and under.
Babies are the absolute best. Our home is filled with so much love, laughter, and joy.
It’s an incredible feeling to know that you can make an entire person from scratch. I truly recommend parenthood — it’s a 10/10 life experience.
ALERT: Anti-Ice protestor who allegedly bit officers at the Delaney Hall protests turns out to be a pedophile.
Brendan John Geier, 26, was charged by the New Jersey US Attorney’s Office with assaulting federal agents and causing bodily injury, for allegedly “kicking and biting” ICE officers outside the Newark detention center, leaving them with “horrific wounds.”
The Justice Department told The Post that Geier was previously charged with sexual abuse of children related to the dissemination and possession of child pornography.
Authorities found images of underage girls on Geier's laptop and phone when he was attending Kutztown University in Pennsylvania.
Geier was put on probation for 2 years and issued a “no contact with anyone under the age of 18” and was required to undergo “sex offender evaluation and treatment.”
A website created by Geier, mostly containing Japanese animation and rock music, he describes himself as having “high-functioning autism” and spends most of his time alone in his room.
If convicted of the assault charges, Geier faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,00 fine.
My top priority is keeping New Jerseyans and our communities safe – and an increased ICE surge in the area outside of Delaney Hall is a threat to public safety. We know that lives would be at risk were that to happen. And I will not accept that risk.
That is why last night, the New Jersey State Police Public Safety Response Team acted to secure the area outside of Delaney Hall. This was absolutely necessary to protect public safety, and avoid escalation from ICE. As Americans, we have a right to protest – and we will continue to ensure New Jersey residents can peacefully exercise their First Amendment rights.
Today and going forward, I urge everyone who is protesting to do so peacefully in the safe areas, and work together to bring the temperature down. We need to focus on advocating for better conditions for the detainees, for their families, and ultimately, for the closure of Delaney Hall.
It's appalling that George Floyd (a man with a serious criminal history)received such lavish honors, including a golden casket funeral and numerous murals and statues in his name.
Yet Iryna Zarutska's memorials have been vandalized with graffiti, and some have even been torn down.
We are not a serious society.
BREAKING: Democrat Governor Mikie Sherrill was just DENIED entry into the Delaney Hall immigration center in NJ after publicly calling for it to be closed.
Democrats like Sherrill want to protect criminal illegal aliens.
