I'm very dumb now and less creative. I really gave up my thinking and research skills.
Now I have to start from scratch

Walked into a print shop to get some documents sorted, and I noticed two millennials carefully crafting a formal letter to send to an HR team. No AI, no shortcuts, just them, thinking through every word. And all I could think was, “If only the shop owner knew how to plug AI into this workflow…” But then again, I’m glad they don’t. Watching them took me back to those secondary school days, writing essays from scratch during exams, no assistance, just raw thought. The mix of truth, exaggeration, and creativity we poured into every line 😂 And that satisfying ending: “Yours faithfully” or “Yours affectionately.” AI is here, and it’s making things faster and easier for this new generation. But let’s not forget, what really makes work stand out isn’t just efficiency… it’s the soul you put into it, applies to design too (But lowkey this man Dey delay me na😂)

Creatives are not angry because of one person . This has been happening for a long time.
Every now and then, someone comes out with a “design challenge” and asks people to create full work banners, covers for free. At the end of the day, most times:
• They already know who they want
• Or they don’t even plan to use any of the submissions
• Or it just becomes free promotion for them
Meanwhile, creatives spend real time and effort just to be “seen.”
At the very least, acknowledge the work. Like it, repost it, engage with it. Let people feel seen.
Better still, if you need a designer, ask for portfolios and then hire properly.
This is not about religion, status, or who said it. It’s about a pattern of disrespect towards creatives.
Let’s stop twisting it and call it what it is.

This is a welcome update, at least we’re finally hearing something. But Nigerians are not just interested in “teams” and movements behind the scenes, we want transparency and clear outcomes. Who are these officers? What exactly are the consequences they’ll face? And how soon will the public see justice being served?
We’ve seen too many cases start with statements like this and quietly fade away. This one cannot be swept under the rug. The same way these young men were publicly harassed is the same way accountability should be public and undeniable.
We’re watching closely. This must not end in silence or soft landings🙏🏿
