What a joy it was to spend a day surrounded by books, ideas, and bright young minds! On Wednesday 12th November, a small group of our wonderful students in Year 7 and 8 went to another school to take part in a Pupil Library Assistant Training Day.

BTG's November 2025 prize-giving evening was rather more a celebration of individual achievements with some amazing stories of students' endeavour, commitment, resilience and honest hard work which thrilled the assembled audience of students, staff, parents and governors.

Today is the last Sunday of the liturgical calendar, the Feast of Christ the King. Did you know that BTG School was dedicated to Christ the King? That is why we have three crowns on our school badge. Christus Vincit! Christus Regnat! Christus Imperat!

Today is the feast of St Cecilia, one of our BTG Form Saints. Today Pope Leo celebrated the Jubilee of choirs, stating that 'music and song in the liturgical setting are a form of prayer'. Our musicians reflected this at #Prizegiving this week #hewhosingspraystwice

Last Sunday, our Head Boy, Onateri, and Head Girl, Marykate, proudly represented our school community at the Streatham War Memorial for the Remembrance Sunday service.

Year 12 Writing Workshops with the Royal Literary Fund Bridge Programme Over two afternoons, all our Year 12 students took part in interactive writing workshops delivered by translator & educator Sarah Ardizzone in partnership with the Royal Literary Fund’s Bridge Programme.

We are delighted to share exciting news that former pupil Seb is continuing to make fantastic progress as part of the NFL Academy, in Loughborough. As he works towards his A Levels, Seb also represents the Academy in American Football, training and competing at an elite level.

We are delighted to share that the school has just been awarded double certificates for outstanding attendance. We would like to thank our whole school community for working together to ensure all our students have every opportunity to succeed and fulfil their potential.

As part of our ongoing commitment to health education and social responsibility, the Sixth Form recently had an assembly focused on Breast Cancer Awareness

Year 12 students had the fantastic opportunity to attend the UK University and Apprenticeship Fair hosted at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Year 10 Art students enjoyed a fantastic day out at the stunning Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The trip offered a perfect mix of inspiration, exploration, and creativity. The pupils represented the school beautifully throughout the day.

On All Souls Day we remember and pray for all people who have died, especially our own loved ones. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen #hope #pray
