@CatholicVote As a Gay man from Manhattan I COULDN'T AGREE MORE! The comments here saying "libraries aren't pushing anything" are LYING. Libraries have VERY SPECIFIC agendas and pick and choose what books get high traffic. LGBT books get the MOST TRAFFIC thanks to libraries pushing them.

⚠️ It’s no longer safe to let our children explore the shelves of public libraries. Librarians across America are pushing graphic LGBTQ books into our children’s hands — not just during “Pride” month, but throughout the year. Take a stand against this.

@litbrit @CatholicVote You don't understand. It's really bad. Graphic sexual books in displays at school & public libraries. Kids are not tiny adults. BTW, I'm neither Catholic nor conservative. I'm just not a fckg pervert or pedo. Good gawd it shouldn't even be a question to keep porn away fr kids!

@EerfEvil @litbrit @CatholicVote Sexual trauma is something that some kids deal with unfortunately and representation is important. Older teens who have struggled similarly can feel seen and heard by The Bluest Eye. These stories are important and shouldn't be censored because they make YOU uncomfortable

@litbrit @CatholicVote Unfortunately there is a lot of trash on middle school and high school bookshelves. Please check out the bluest eye for one example and then tell me if you think this is appropriate.

@CatholicVote As someone who works in a library, none of these books are "graphic" and if you don't want your kids reading them, then dont check them out? You can't make that decision for other people's kids. Representation is important whether u agree with it or not. Support libraries
