The only #1 seed in the MPSSAA playoffs to reach the state championship this year is Wicomico led by head coach Butch Waller who has announced that this is his last season. Waller, who is in his 60th season at the helm at WiHi began his career in 1960 and is north of 950 wins. Waller has been to the state semifinals 29 times in his 60 years. He has only one state title, in 2002 when WiHi went 28-0, with an average margin of victory of 37.4 PPG. What a way to end a career it would be for Waller to win his second ever state title. 6'2 JR guard Jaden Baker out of Frostburg State (D2) just ended with 33 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists & 5 steals in a win against Salem (WV). Baker is averaging 19.7 points, 5.8 rebounds & 3.3 assists. Baker has now led Frostburg State to their most wins in a season.
