The Foundation: Where has he been? (THEORY) I've been thinking for awhile now about where The Foundation could have been all of these years, especially because of how much duty he had with saving reality and freeing everyone. It feels unrealistic that he wasn't captured and decided to do nothing all of this time...so let me introduce you to the Vigilante Theory. 🦸 Back in the Foundation: One Shot Comic, Foundation narrated a lot of his opinions and world views that allowed us to see into how he thinks, as the leader of The Seven. A reoccurring idea he mentioned, was that even though there are "countless others living and dying every minute", he had to "suppress his instincts to get involved", because without the Zero Point - none of it matters. ❌ But in Paradise, we watched the FALL of The Seven, one by one. Imagined was dead, the Zero Point's freedom was the wrong move, and a new substance - Chrome - was picking them off one by one. We now know that The Order and The Foundation must have gotten into a conflict with the Herald, having left their helmet and wings respectively, but still somehow managed to escape...but Origin, Scientist and Visitor were not so lucky. Paradigm, believing herself to be the last remaining member, was on her own to solve this crisis. The result was The Paradigm initiating Zero Fusion and then going MIA. Every other member was still missing...but, Foundation was indeed still out there. So, what was he doing, and why? 🤔 I firmly believe Foundation thought they lost. Everything they've worked for, every move they've made, all was for nothing in the end...the Seven were no more, and that meant no-one to protect the Zero Point from The Last Reality. Perhaps he spent months, or even the first year alone, wandering the Omniverse for help or ways to revert things...but alas, nothing. So, he decided to do what we COULD, and never allowed himself to previously - help individuals and their conflicts across the Omniverse. Foundation became a vigilante, intervening in wars or smaller conflicts he came across in his travels through the Omniverse, still helping those he could despite believing that he failed the bigger picture. This gave him purpose, it helped fill a void. ❤️‍🩹 With all of the time since Paradise, The Order surely had sent communications to The Foundation before. But with just the two of them, his stubbornness kept him isolated. He didn't find a purpose in trying again - they already failed. So, he continued his journey. His search to find people in need and help who he could, before inevitably the Omniverse's time was up. This is why Season 2 is being advertised as "Priority: Locate Foundation". He doesn't ARRIVE on Season 2...we need to find him, wherever he is across the Omniverse, so he can return to us. I theorize that his outfit in the battle pass will actually be the Secret Skin, with a timed unlock set for a couple months into the season - when we eventually find him and convince him to come back. On the topic of his outfit, I also envision it to be similar to Agent Jones' outfit, where he has different styles reflecting the realities he's been to throughout the past 3 years. What do you think? I really think this characterizes Foundation well and would be a great explanation for why we haven't seen him all this time.
