Four Foreign Nationals Arrested for Copper Cable Theft in Rustenburg Four foreign nationals, two from Mozambique and two from Zimbabwe have been arrested for allegedly digging up and attempting to steal copper cables along the R24. The municipality strongly condemned the theft, which disrupts essential services and burdens residents. It urged communities to report suspicious activities to protect public infrastructure. Copper cable theft remains a major problem across South Africa, often causing prolonged power outages. The suspects are expected to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrates' Court soon.
