Myself and 3 other Nigerians have been unlawfully detained in Johannesburg airport for literally doing nothing, papers complete, visa valid and they literally just singled us out of the crowd for nothing, and onenof us's phone has been seized all day and hasn't been allowed to reach out to anyone. They are trying to take my own phone now, so I am putting this out so that the world knows that if anything happens to us, south Africa should be held responsible, please repost and tag the authorities concerned.. They are saying that they will detain us for no reason until God knows when. Walk through Mayville in Durban, through Diepsloot, through Imizamo Yethu, through any township or informal settlement in this country. Those shacks are full of South Africans, not foreigners. Our own people are living in those conditions every single day. So the idea that foreigners are the cause of shacks or the only ones living in them just isn't true. The real cause is a system that has refused to give black South Africans Land, housing, and dignity for generations. Let's not aim our anger at the wrong target. I say this with respect.
