It was a @Ruger_Firearms Thursday w/ some @Beretta_1526 sprinkled in. T-shirt, 22lr speed loader, & THREE 22/45 Mark IV magazines procured today! I felt like a successful treasure hunter. Plus, found a Beretta 92 series drop-leg holster for lefties for a great price!

I put 100 rounds of @FreedomRounds through my new @GLOCKInc 21 (well, new to me) today. Gun ran the ammo smoothly. No problems. Would recommend these bullets, which were in 45 auto with small primers. I'm eager to try out their other offerings, too. Always nice to see a Lewiston, ID, business doing well, given I used to live in Pullman, WA, and spent time in the surrounding areas. As well, I think I might know what was putting me in my slump: I seem to have gotten better firing with both eyes open and worse with just my dominant eye open, which is what I had been doing. Anyone able to explain why that might have happened? @harveyspistols @Mrgunsngear @Grunt2A?

@bmitori @FreedomRounds @GLOCKInc I figured it was either grip or trigger pull; just don't know what to do specifically to address the issues.

@Grunt2A @ZeeCaptainRon @FreedomRounds @GLOCKInc Most of my shooting is with irons. I even usually cut off the red dot on my RXM and just use it as a racking aid. :)

I'm left-handed but right- eye dominant, but what has worked recently is to aim at the target w/ both eyes, then through the right to adjust, then open both eyes & fire. Feels weird, but I like that "surprised I was so accurate" feeling when I do it. :)

There is nothing wrong with shooting with both eyes open I do it, too Some people can't do it. Some people are better that way. If it works for you, it is the right way. I started doing it years ago because it just felt more natural. Plus if I can engaging anyone with a pistol it is for sure a messed up situation and I want to keep my full field of vision But you have to ignore your non dominant eye while shooting because it does have a very different view than your dominant aiming eye. You basically look at the surrounding with your left eye and the sights with your right. If you are better that way, run with it When I try to shoot with my left eye closed it messes with me and throws me off, at least with pistols. With rifles I close my left eye or I can't hit the ground if I aim straight down I think it's all about depth perception. For close targets I like having itmlm For distant targets it's irrelevant
