There are many sensible, moderate voters who took a chance on the Conservatives but are dismayed to see the party lurching to the extremes, reduced to being Reform-lite. They are looking for a new home and they are finding it with the Scottish Liberal Democrats.

Kemi Badenoch says she doesn’t want centrists in her party. Instead of focusing on what people actually want, like an NHS that works, she’s choosing to imitate Farage. If you’re sick of the name calling and just want things fixed, join the Liberal Democrats.

Brilliant result in the East Dunbartonshire by-election: another Lib Dem win from the Conservatives. Their vote share fell by 17%, dropping them into 6th place.

Rejoining Erasmus is a real opportunity to start repairing the disastrous Conservative Brexit deal. We are pleased the government has finally listened to us on that. However it must be a first step on a clear roadmap to a closer relationship with Europe. Starting with negotiating a bespoke UK-EU customs union, and committing to a youth mobility scheme for benefit of the next generation.
