Another successful annual equipment drive ⚾️🖤💛 Fans stopped by PNC Park this past weekend to donate gently used gear that will be sent to youth baseball programs in the Dominican Republic, helping to grow the game beyond Pittsburgh.

Tomorrow from 10am-1pm we'll host our Baseball & Softball Equipment Drive at PNC Park. All gently used baseball and softball items are accepted, and those who donate will receive a free ticket to a *2026 Pirates Game. *Exclusions Apply.

Today we’re joined by Ernie Withers who thanks to quick CPR response of Pirates training staff, survived a sudden cardiac arrest at Pirate City. Thanks to the support of Pirates Chairman Bob Nutting and others, Ernie has now donated 280 defibrillators to the Manatee County and Pittsburgh area communities

Today, we hosted our annual Miracle League Fantasy Camp in Manasota, Fla. Pirates players and coaches joined Miracle League athletes for fun afternoon of baseball activities.

We are teaming up with our friends the @penguins and @steelers to host the #BurghProud Thanksgiving Dinner Distribution to support 300 local families in need this holiday season. Supplies will be available first-come, first-served at the drive-through event on Mazeroski Way on November 25.

The connection between the Pirates and local youth baseball is strengthened through the commitment to the Pirates RBI. For two days in July, dreams turn into reality at PNC Park as the Pirates RBI Championships brings area players together for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — to play where their heroes play.

Today we joined the Pittsburgh Walk of Fame in the Strip District as they unveiled the inaugural class that includes Roberto Clemente.

We spent this morning’s gym class playing wiffle ball with grades K through 5 at Allegheny Traditional Academy.

Yesterday, we joined Logan Elementary School to launch their Chill Mobile Week. In an effort to address our community's youth mental health crisis, Pirates Charities joined forces with its healthcare partner, Allegheny Health Network, on the Chill Mobile unit. This 33-foot mobile mental health unit, along with mental health professionals from AHN, deploys to schools throughout the region each year.

Yesterday, Paul Skenes joined volunteer first responders at the Monroeville Public Safety Training Center; serving meals and helping provide equipment grants alongside the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Today, we have the honor of hosting Bellacatio, a veterans support group dedicated to coming together for moral and wellness activities.

Cooper was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia a week before his 3rd birthday. He is now 5 years old, cancer-free, and 8 months away from ringing the bell! His little league team this past spring was the Pirates, and he had a chance to meet and spend time with Bryan Reynolds in Baltimore through Lending Hearts.

Meet 19-year-old Conor O’Brien, a resilient Hodgkin’s Lymphoma warrior, devoted Pittsburgh sports fan, and aspiring air traffic controller. Today he met Paul Skenes and Andrew McCutchen 💛
