@KarlPercin @Sportsnet650 Since Miller was traded, they play together a fair bit.
English

@BuddJacket @Sportsnet650 How much did they play together? Not much since the lotto line got split up, and boeser also had a down year.

@Zer0PucksGiven You blasted this hiring a day earlier and now you've immediately done a 180. This is Ray Hatt levels of flip flopping, lol.
English

@BuddJacket I believe Caleb is heading to the NCAA next year so not an immediate concern
English

@BuddJacket @KyloWen85 @Sportsnet650 Likely a combination of a putrid workplace and our league embarrassment medical staff not treating his injury properly.
English

@White3D64197 Ya and I didn't buy that as the full reason for his struggles either.
It's definitely a combination of things that have gone on for two and a half years now.
English

@BuddJacket Can’t remember but thought EP said in ‘24 he was playing with a bad knee or tendinitis
English

Great answer from Daniel discussing preparation, but that won't solve all of EP40's issues. His decline began midway through 23-24, so you can't blame prep when he was great the first half of that season.
Petey's issues are likely more complex and they need to trade him ASAP.

@Sportsnet650 Lets be real. The last time he had a good season he had a good winger to play with also. Not that he has not been bad, he has. but atlest give him a good winger to play with
English

@KyloWen85 @Sportsnet650 It's not the full story though. His play started to drastically decline midway through the 23-24 season. You can't blame preparation when he played and produced well the first half of that season. There's more to this than just offseason preparation.
English

@Sportsnet650 Agree that this is what's up with petey. Hated coming to the rink, fell out of love with the game, hates his job. Can be hard to recover from that toxicity
English

@Lotto6445151 @Sportsnet650 What an incredibly idiotic thing to say
English

@Sportsnet650 Wonder why the #Canucks sent the dumber Sedin to Halford and Brough. Guess Henrik will only be available to the eastern media.

@Sportsnet650 Yes, but I'm pretty sure you could say the same thing about every new Canucks President and GM during their first press conferences. It means nothing without results.

@Raymond_Hatt @seyerpa Ya, sure you weren't. Nice back peddling.
English

@DrDangles87 This was honestly one of the more balanced takes at the time. Had Petey's play not fallen off the map in the last couple of years, everyone would have loved the bridge deal followed by the 8-year extension because it meant he was under team control for longer.
English

Turns out the bridge was a great deal, but they fumbled it when they opted to resign him instead of trading him for the likes of Necas. Thanks for digging this one up Ray! Let me know when you need another free pair of glasses.

Found this in the archives good times.

@Sean_B_taketwo @Zer0PucksGiven @sarjakd @thealexblair @Canucks Honest question. What has he done to be a tool since he left? Because all I've seen are mundane quotes in the media that a group of bitter Canucks fans have desperately tried to twist to make him seem like a jerk.
English

@Zer0PucksGiven @sarjakd @thealexblair @Canucks 1000% this. He left in a really shitty way (he had clearly checked out on the ice) and has been just a complete tool ever since despite being treated like a god by fans while he was here and the organization bending over backwards to try to appease him.
English

I still don’t understand the Vancouver sour grapes toward Quinn Hughes.
Would you have wanted to continue playing for Aquilini’s @Canucks over the last 10 years?
English

@Zer0PucksGiven @thealexblair @Canucks Show me the things he said that have been shots at the Canucks or the city of Vancouver. I'll wait.
English

@Zer0PucksGiven @thealexblair @Canucks There were no subtle shots and the only MAGA thing he did was visit the White House, like almost all his other Olympic teammates.
You can dislike him if you want because he doesn't play for the Canucks anymore, but enough with the fabricated narratives.
English

@thealexblair @Canucks A lot of people understood why he wanted out. But the subtle shots he's fired at the fans and his former team mates, the sheer arrogance and maga esc behaviour he's displayed in the last 3 months have made him completely unlikeable and easy to root against.
