We laughed at his worn-out belt and many other things. In fact, he was the butt of our jokes to the point that I felt she had no respect for him. I used to tease her with “your husband is calling” whenever he called her phone. I didn’t know I was prophesying. 😄 Today, they are married with two kids.

My wife was doing exercise this morning, and she ran to me and told me, “Babe, there is a snake in the Aloe Vera plant.” The first thing i told myself is Why always me? I have 7 women in this house, but whenever it involves snake scorpion, na me dem dey call. Can't women just be woman enough!😂 I now summoned courage and headed to where the aloe vera plant is. I was shaking ooooo As I was coming close, it was looking like a snake. I carried a mop stick to touch the thing it didn’t move. That’s when I realised it was just a mere plant. Please be honest, doesn’t this thing not look like a snake?

Imagine witnessing heartbreak as a child… some people’s character development started very early 🤧💔 My mom left when I was just 8 years old. Since then, my dad had to play both father and mother all by himself. Till today, I still don’t really know what mother’s love feels like. My dad was a truck driver, always on the road trying to survive, so I had to learn how to take care of myself at a very young age. Cooking, cleaning, washing… all those responsibilities came early for me. My primary school days were really tough because there was nobody there to properly look after me. After primary school, I was sent to boarding school from JS1 to SS3. Throughout those 6 years, it was still just my dad showing up for me. My mom never came around. After WAEC in 2018, I had to stay home for an extra year because my dad had already spent so much on WAEC and NECO fees. I started hustling on my own just to raise money for JAMB in 2019. Eventually, I gained admission into Federal Polytechnic Oko and started my ND1. Things became harder during my second year because of my dad’s health challenges. I had to leave school and join “HK” in Onitsha in 2020 just to survive. Those 9 months were some of the most traumatizing moments of my life. I eventually had to run away from there for my own safety in late 2021. I went back to the village and continued hustling however I could, while also trying to pursue football. Then in 2023, I started my tech journey. I left Anambra for Bayelsa, but things didn’t work out as planned, so I relocated to Uyo in early 2024. In February 2024, I enrolled at MitaSchool to learn Web Development. The program lasted 6 months. After graduating, I was preparing to return home when I was given the opportunity to stay back as a student teacher for about 2–3 months. After putting in the work and doing my best, I eventually got employed in early 2025 as a tutor for the same course I once came to learn. And here we are today… I may not be where I want to be yet, but looking back at how far I’ve come, I know for sure that better days are ahead ❤️
