Financial education is the perfect cross-literacy tool to support traditional literacy skills and learn basic money fundamentals. You can't do financial literacy without reading, comprehension and math skills. EDUCATION LEADERS need to look at the bigger picture.

There are enough educational resources in the financial education space to revolutionize the way financial education is approached in our schools and communities. Does anyone know what's missing to make it happen?

After the assessment, we sourced the resources and continue to develop and curate programming. This year AWARENESS is an area we want to focus on, it's a key element missing in the space. We hope the LOUD PSA Campaign will have impact in the area. 44texas.com/44loud/

One area we focused on in our targeted community was asset mapping. We went through and identified the current financial education resources and pro gramming available. We also identified the current organizations and engagement points serving the area.

For the last two years, I’ve cohosted a monthly IG live with two lovely kid lit authors! It’s every first Monday and it’s called Authorapy. We talk everything from vendor events, marketing, school visits and everything in between.

Financial educators what are you doing in your areas to raise the awareness around financial education?

@jasminelikepaul Yes, the mindset is a such a valuable area that must be focused on. We have a great resource partner who focuses in that area. We have to change our mindset around materialistic values..
