@Stephan75681689 Yeah it's all easily fixed for sure. I would rather have Shaq over Milano at this phase of their careers. In terms of CB, just bring Nick Mcleod back. He's young, cheap and has plenty of experience to fill in as CB4.

@BuffCommander We can solve # 1 and #2 easily by bringing back Tre White and Shaq Thompson/Matt Milano. Get it done Beane.

Now that the first few waves of FA and the Draft are done, I think these are the top 3 needs (in order):
1. Outside CB depth (by far the biggest need still)
2. LB-Vet to compete for starting role
3. Guard-not a need per say

@CarlBangaz Yeah we have a full room. We’ll carry 5 edge players and we have 5 (including our 1st draft pick)

@cincyplanner @ElvisZerodx Albeit we do not have a high end NT, but I'm not so sure we need more than Mathis in that role given the value. That's why I was totally fine not getting one early in the draft. I was always pro NT in round 4 and beyond (if they thought they needed one)

@cincyplanner @ElvisZerodx The question is though, are we releasing someone (we're at our limit currently) just so we have competition for a low value position? Especially since the DT room is basically packed full of roster-able guys. I feel like it's our deepest position on the roster.

@ElvisZerodx Shaq was WAY BETTER than him last year. Why are you so against bringing in Shaq? If it isn't the age (he's the same age as Milano) and it isn't his play on the field...... then what is it? Both guys have injury issues in their past. I'd argue Milano has been hurt even more so

@ElvisZerodx I like those two guys too. Shaq is a better player than both, but I’m not upset if we pivot to them. Old guys have a place in the league when they aren’t super old. Shaq just turned 32 so he’s not ancient. Pratt and Okereke will be 30 before the season starts.

Also, Mathis is literally our only NT. So are we getting rid of a NT just to replace him with a more expensive one? We won’t use a NT often. I just think it’s silly

@ElvisZerodx 😬 he’s not good though 😂. We have young options, we need a vet to round out the room. Shaq is a perfect fit for that and a much better player. Cheap too

@endymius They’ve told us they aren’t doing it. Room is already crowded. I doubt they keep more than 6. So if they keep 6 they’ll have to cut a high end draft investment from the last 3 years. I just don’t see it. Especially since they’ve told us that they have little interest in a NT role

@cincyplanner Oh I think the DT room is crowded. I doubt they get rid of the last 2 years of draft investments. They’ll already have to make a hard decision to get the roster down to 6 DTs. I just don’t see them cutting Carter, Jackson, Walker, or Sanders. Durant and Mathis are also there.

@rogervilleasa The run D will get better with the scheme change. A 2 gapping nose tackle isn’t coming unfortunately. Beane has told us as much. We’ll already have to make some hard decisions to get this room down to 6 guys. They won’t give up on 2024 and 2025 draft investments

@BuffCommander Crowded but not filled with talent it my thing. I only am intrigued by Ed and deone. I like sanders but his strength isn’t ideal especially against the run where he might be a liability
