My biggest “problem” this year is that my son (29 yo) has been expanding his garden over the last several years and he is always finding “deals” on plants so he picks up a few for us. He brings over half a dozen plants or more every week;). I’m honestly thrilled that he got the gardening bug though!

Look what we found! Dwarf Mulberry Bushes- $12 each Camelia Sinesis Tea Plant- $12.50 Fresh black tea available in the backyard? Well, heck yeah! 😍 I'm a dork. I know. 🤣

@BugmaniaL Totally agree. I have a small farm and have been converting it over to a permaculture and regenerative farm over the last 20 years. I set aside a lot of land for the wildlife and pollinators. I figure it’s worth the effort even when there is so much stacked against us.

@SKress7514 🤣 We live in town. I swear, almost no one plants flowers or does anything with their yards here other than a boring lawn. I'm trying to plant everything I can to draw in pollinators and birds. The jerks spraying the poison in our skies are killing everything!

@BugmaniaL Oh man! I wish I could grow a tea plant in Zone 5. That’s awesome you get to have one in your own yard. I have more mulberries than I want, and I am not very popular with the neighboring farmers because of it;).

Here's a better example of corking on a pepper. Zoom in. See what appears to bark or that brown color that feels rough? That's a good thing when it comes to certain peppers. Generally means they're mean and yummy. These are Early Jalapeños. This was Sept 20, 2020. 😋

August 23, 2025 Summer Heat Jalapeños These can get some nice corking, and that corking means heat and flavor! Roast em, smoke em, but I make fermented sauces with these, and it is outstanding! Try these! 😊

@JustinH13896835 I sat there and looked them up before we got them. The bushes can be planted or placed in containers. In the ground, 6-8 feet tall and 4-5 feet width. Containers, 4-5 feet tall and 2-3 feet width. I haven't decided yet.
