The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is consulting on proposals to allow Local Authorities to charge for more building control functions provided under the Building Act and building Regulations.

The BSI has published a free standard on the Provision of Inclusive PPE to ensure that it keeps everyone safe in line with employers' obligations under health and safety, equality, and employment legislation. Access the new standard BS 30417 here: bsigroup.com/en-GB/insights…

PPE needs to keep everyone equally safe on site. Unisex PPE that does not fit appropriately can cause secondary safety issues while people are working, and can affect both men and women as well as people with specific requirements.
