@BolajiADC Unfortunately, the Nigerian government has failed to adequately protect the lives of its citizens.
English

First, the NSA referred to terrorists as his brothers.
Now, the Chief of Defense Staff is referring to terrorists as sons.
These rhetorics reflect a dangerous mindset that accommodates and tolerates criminality instead of confronting it.
When a government begins to frame terrorists in familial terms, it blurs the moral and legal lines that must remain clear in any serious security response.
With this mindset, it is easy to understand why the current approach has struggled to protect lives and decisively end the killings.
This must not be allowed to continue.
Under an ADC government, there will be no ambiguity. Bandits and kidnappers and terrorists will be treated the same as all enemies of Nigeria.
We will establish special terrorism courts to ensure swift prosecution.
Our counter-terrorism framework will rest on four pillars:
1. Local level intelligence gathering;
2. State level prevention and detterence;
3. National level coordination and enforcement; and
4. Regional level collaboration across neighbouring countries.
Like in all other things, ADC will put citizens first.
1. We will not cuddle terrorists.
2. The message will be clear: there will be severe consequences for killing a Nigerian.
3. A terrorist will neither be a son nor a brother. They are the enemy and will be treated as such.

REMARKS BY THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC), SENATOR DAVID MARK, GCON, AT THE 2ND NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (NEC) MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25, 2026.
Distinguished members of the National Executive Committee, Respected leaders of our great party,
Esteemed stakeholders, Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is with great honour and a deep sense of responsibility that I welcome you all to this 2nd meeting of the National Executive Committee of our great party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Let me begin by expressing my sincere appreciation to each and every one of you for your unwavering commitment, loyalty, and sacrifices towards the growth and stability of our party. Your dedication, even in challenging times, continues to inspire confidence in the future of the ADC as a credible alternative for national leadership.
This meeting comes at a critical moment in the life of our party and indeed our nation. Nigerians across all walks of life are yearning for purposeful leadership, equity, justice, and a government that truly serves the people. The responsibility before us, therefore, is not just political—it is moral and historic.
As leaders of this great movement, we must rise above personal interests and remain united in our resolve to build a strong, disciplined, and people-oriented party. Internal cohesion, respect for party structures, and adherence to democratic principles must remain our guiding pillars.
Distinguished colleagues,
Our task is clear: to reposition the ADC as the foremost platform for national renewal. We must continue to strengthen our internal mechanisms, expand our grassroots reach, and engage meaningfully with Nigerians across all regions, religions, and generations.
Let me emphasize that unity within our ranks is non-negotiable. Recent developments have shown that while challenges may arise, our collective will to remain focused and united is stronger than any divisive tendencies. We must therefore close ranks, deepen consultation, and reinforce confidence in our leadership and processes.
Let me use this opportunity to thank our state chairmen who have chosen the path of dialogue and consultation in spite of all odds. Together, we can salvage Nigeria.
Distinguished party leaders and members, Nigeria is now bedeviled by unabating insecurity, kidnapping and violence of immense proportion. Unfortunately, these ills are now the new normal.
The ruling APC has shown incompetence. They have shown that they are incapable of arresting the situation.
Our party, the ADC must rise up to the oocssion to address these ills. We are prepared to do things differently and make Nigeria a better and safer society.
As we deliberate today, I urge us to approach our discussions with open minds, patriotism, and a shared vision for a better Nigeria. Let our decisions reflect the aspirations of millions of Nigerians who look up to the ADC as a beacon of hope.
We must also continue to work with like-minded individuals and groups who share our vision of rescuing our nation from its current challenges. The time for collaboration, constructive engagement, and strategic alignment is now.
Distinguished members,
The journey ahead may be demanding, but with unity, discipline, and commitment, victory is assured. Let us remain steadfast and resolute.
On this note, I wish us all fruitful deliberations.
Thank you, and may God bless the African Democratic Congress.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Following my return to the country on Saturday night from Umrah (lesser Hajj), I led a delegation on a solidarity visit to the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN. I wish to serve notice to the authorities detaining former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, @elrufai, and all other political detainees to release them henceforth. No one should be detained simply because they do not share the same ideology or political platform with the government of the day. -AA

Rep Dasuki Resigns From PDP, joins ADC
ThisDay — 15 || 03 || 2025
Member representing Tambuwal/Kebbe Federal Constituency, Sokoto State, Rep Abdussamad Dasuki, has formally resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Rep Dasuki’s resignation letter addressed to the PDP chairman, Dogon Daji/ Salah Ward, Tambuwal LGA of Sokoto State, was dated March 15, 2026, officially ending his long-standing membership of the party.
In his resignation letter, Dasuki cited the protracted leadership crisis within the party, which, he said, has significantly weakened its capacity to function effectively as a leading opposition party.
According to him, the persistent internal challenges have made it difficult for the party to provide the credible and organized opposition necessary for strengthening Nigeria’s democracy.
Dasuki noted that his decision was reached after extensive consultations with his political associates, constituents and well-meaning stakeholders who share his concerns about the current state of the party and the nation.
Following his resignation, the lawmaker has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He explained that the move will enable him to collaborate with other like-minded patriots committed to rescuing the country from its current socio-economic and political challenges.
Dasuki expressed appreciation to members of the PDP who supported him during his time in the party and reaffirmed his commitment to continue serving the people of Tambuwal/Kebbe Federal Constituency, Sokoto State and Nigeria with dedication, integrity and courage.
He also called on his supporters and constituents to remain steadfast as he begins a new political journey aimed at contributing to efforts to salvage the nation from the precipice and build a more prosperous and democratic Nigeria.
