Hi everyone!
When we founded BullSync we had one goal. To create a darts application that's accessible for everyone around the globe.
The story started back in November of 2025. My brother James owns a pub in The Netherlands with more than 8 dart lanes and over 22 teams play at his pub every week.
A lot of dart federations and players desired to have a digital system like a tablet with darts software instead of the physical scoreboard with manual score writing.
The advantage of digital systems is that entered scores are saved instantly, it's much easier to track everyone's performance and average scoring per person or team.
The biggest upside is that organising tournaments is now way easier because you can send all the matches to the tablets, and the data is being sent back, plus the game flow is way faster,
so people can play more games!
So, happy ending right?
Well.. no.
The professional dart applications have a monopoly over the whole market and charge an exorbitant amount of money from dart federations to host tournaments, with high subscription fees for
regular players to access basic functionality. A standard tournament consisting of 40 people can easily cost over $400 just for the software. Not to mention the rental of tablets.
While paying $1 per person, per match, players are still greeted with advertisement videos, pop-ups and other flashy nonsense.
Me and James? We were tired of it.
So we thought to ourselves, we can do this better. Let's make our own application. From the darts community, to the darts community.
We started working on the foundation of BullSync with several clear rules for ourselves.
It has to be free for every player. Every game mode, every training module.
A subscription is not necessary to play, neither is the need to register.
BullSync needs to be able to run on a $99 tablet.
BullSync must be able to run without the necessity of downloading an application.
No video advertisements, no pop-up advertisements, or anything else that we find annoying.
The costs for big users like dart federation hosted tournaments should be absolutely affordable and reasonable. (Since the application is not finished yet, the hosting of tournaments is now free for everyone. This module is currently in full development.)
BullSync needs to be able to play offline.
All users should be able to keep track of their averages, performance data, and checkout percentages etc, for absolutely free.
The servers need to keep running, and yes, that costs money. We have several ideas to make ends meet for the application.
- By holding BullSync tokens on the Solana network you automatically help the project. All of the creator fees go towards the benefit of its users, be that the creation and maintenance of the application, or to fund airdrops, burns, buybacks, locks, you name it.
- It is our goal to do campaigns and sponsorships instead of advertisements. Imagine BullSync turning green for a week because a worldwide beer company sponsored us, for example.
- We want to offer our users a BullSync Premium to support the platform. This is a subscription service, but is not pay-to-play — more in the form of cosmetics, for example. No pay-to-win mechanics, no shenanigans.
Now on a personal note:
I noticed something today while I was working on BullSync.
Going through the analytics, I saw a huge growing player base of people from China in the last 30 days, and it got me thinking.
The Play/App Store is not available in China, but BullSync.app is! Because it's a web-based application hosted in Europe that's accessible with any browser, anywhere in the world.
This immediately brought a smile to my face.
I checked the analytics further and we are also gaining popularity in the northern parts of Africa. My suggestion is that because BullSync is so light, it can be played on any device. And because it can also run offline,
it's very inexpensive to use.
I'm not entirely sure if this is all true, but I can see a clear pattern of people from those countries visiting the website, playing games and staying longer.
And because of this thought process... I want to optimise it even more, keep it free for everyone and hope that everyone has a great time with the application.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
It means a lot.
We continue the development of BullSync with a huge smile on our faces.
GAME ON!
Best regards,
~ Leon & James
The BullSync Brothers.
