Honestly, that's a huge waste of ammunition to shoot at nothing. In my day, there were tactics of advancing, taking ground, and attacking. We didn't waste ammunition, and often we went onto the field with only 200 rounds for the match. Nowadays, it seems like they must be using about 1000 rounds per person for nothing; this sport used to be better.

i guess you don't really learn worthwhile tactical skills at this sport anymore
