@TickerSymbolYOU @DarthMicroT I’d be totally fine if they removed rarity from gear, but left it on maps. All they would have to do is rework gold rings and bump up rarity as a base very slightly

For clarity, a restart patch is a patch that requires the realm/servers to be restarted. It will not be an economy reset.

@telilius @FakeUniforM @TalkativeTri Just keep all ways tones, then you can combine them in the reforge station. Any 3 of the same tier waystone will give you the next tier up. So 3 t1’s = a t2 map.

@FakeUniforM @TalkativeTri What I don't get is, why does low level waystones drop whenever I play a high tier one? Happens all the time btw, kinda sucks. So I'm playing t12, but waystones are dropping for t1-8 😅. It should be t11 above, not way under.

This item rarity issue in Path of Exile 2 sounds bad. My solution would be simple: item rarity is scaled on waystones, nothing on gear. I know GGG stated they wanted it to be the 3rd vector alongside offense & defense, but...eh. In an economy-driven game, those who do not use item rarity when it works as it currently does are completely priced out of everything. That sucks. However, this is literally why they said they wanted early access: to test things like this in the economy. At a large scale, this type of availability of item rarity on gear is an apparent issue.
