PGMOL and referees once again tonight showing that they have complete control over the outcome of a football game. Tonight for the first time in MONTHS we seen the ref implement the 7 second rule against the Leeds United keeper, awarding Spurs a corner during a kick out... On top of this, then VAR decided NOT to implement the 5cm tolerance rule against Calvert Lewins offside, instead deciding that this picture is 'offside'. Incredible how inconsistent the refereeing can be in 1 game just minutes apart, also extremely coincidental how both decisions favour Spurs who are in desperate need of points to keep them in the championship. Honestly if Spurs do end up in the relegation zone, the Premier League will probably just chuck West Ham a points deduction to send them down instead 👍🏻

@sufferingspurs Go back to the old European cup days. Champions only. To have 6 teams from one country when some other euro nations don’t ever qualify is just such a bad look. CL has ruined football.

I know the obvious response will be that Spurs got CL football even though they finished 17th last season and bla bla bla. But the idea that 6th place in the league gets you Champions League football completely diminishes the prestige of what is supposed to be the most elite competition in club football. Finishing on 55/56 points would typically be an upper mid table finish, you can’t reward it with a seat at the highest table. Some clubs have missed out on the Champions League finishing on 70 points in the past. Something needs to change

Said the same thing but also hard on Forest as now Villa have allowed a relegation rival to win and they have Chelsea tomorrow night. Villa been given the opportunity to rest players for their semi final yet Forest can't do the same as they need to steer away from the foot of the table. Sadly what's done is done but a rule should prevent this from happening again.

Really, it's hard to disagree with this...
