@I_prefertheair Just to be clear. You want a het version of a story where one of the characters hesitates to make a move because of a seemingly mismatched sexuality on a mother who was in a het relationship? Let the idea die, it doesn’t work here. Just enjoy the nice story that does exist.

@gammainks I guess I'm too much of a traditional romance fan to let an Idea like this die. I just wondered what an alternate version would be like. Not saying this story is bad. Just wondering what the alternate would be like. (Ran out of comment space.)

@electriccoil @OctorokR How many people actually enjoy playing solo survival in Minecraft? Most of them. A vast majority. The most common thing to do, in fact, is to mod your game to give yourself even MORE options in solo survival and do even more solo surviving.

@electriccoil @OctorokR the game invites you to create even lore answers for yourself. Trial and error, experimentation, find what works with what makes you happiest. Equating it to the top selling game of all time in its most common and popular form of play isn’t exactly the take you think it is.

I'll answer this in a retweet so everyone can see it: Tears of the Kingdom, fundamentally, does not understand the appeal of its predecessor. BotW is a deeply flawed game, but it got people to look past those flaws by presenting a wonderous, brand-new world to explore and encouraged out-of-the-box experimentation with its wonderful physics engine. Cutting down a tree and using it as a bridge is one of the most satisfying moments of discovery in all of Zelda, and moments like that defined the first 10 hours or so of BotW's runtime. Tears of the Kingdom does not capitalize on any of this. The world is played out - therefore, the act of discovery is absent from perhaps about 75% of the game, minus new sections in the sky, the underground, and a few changes on the surface. But even worse: the vehicle building is a one-size-fits-all solution to every puzzle. Need to travel over some lava? Build a vehicle. Need to cross a river? build a vehicle. Need to climb a mountain? Build a vehicle. BotW worked because its mechanics had limitations - TotK removed those limitations and instead gave players a tedious, time consuming, yet ultimately overpowered solution to dealing with all the game's many problems. TotK is by no means a bad video game - a title like that is reserved for pieces of shit like Mixtape, DQ2, or 1348 Ex Voto - but it's a bad sequel because it takes all of the strengths of BotW, throws them away, and then proceeds to puppeteer its corpse without understanding why anyone found the game appealing in the first place.

@OctorokR Can I ask how is it bad? Like genuinely is the ability to be creative with Zonai devices? Or it being a remix of the last game? For me both games are what Nintendo tried to do since the nes. An Hakoniwa for players to explore and interact.

@ball_lv @OctorokR My position literally asks of you to find solutions to having a smaller battery. Find ways to limit your power consumption while completing your task or find ways to recharge without losing progress, etc. I don’t know why you see this as a gotcha.

@ball_lv @OctorokR Clear out the camps, hit the rocks, solve out how to navigate around, you’ll end up with a fairly healthy battery size. If you want to max it out, sure, you’ll need to grind. But part of the engagement is battery management.

@OctorokR And still I think it’s really neat how people have found ways to break those same things in so many different ways. Feels very consistent with the Zelda community, what with how they find ways to do all kinds of ridiculous things in all the games.

@OctorokR If you decide to look up a guide on the optimal flight machine to bomb out all the bosses and fly around Hyrule, that’s on you. Personally, I chose to engage with the game on its terms. Experimented and learned on my own and engage with the puzzles how they were laid out.

@z_ARTs96 @Mertvyi_ @Hideo_Fufujima I saw you admitted in another post you quit during season 2, so you probably don’t know all the fun and neat designs that have happened between Yidhari and now and even then Sunbringer doesn’t have any of Yidhari’s hypnotic elements on her.

@z_ARTs96 @Mertvyi_ @Hideo_Fufujima I mean, even if you wanna call it a Yixuan copy paste, the most “recent” example of that is from 2.3 with Yidhari 6 months ago. Meanwhile this Sunbringer reminds me ALOT more of pre-release Seed than any of the supposed “Yixuan shorts havers”, especially the woman herself.

@Balerion202 @Mateoismael12 @ST4r_Space @briff_c Roxy was ready to be eviscerated for what she did and both of them acknowledged how selfish they were being and how potentially damaging this all was. If it were someone other than Sylphie, it probably would’ve caused much more of a stir. But others punished him for her.

@Balerion202 @Mateoismael12 @ST4r_Space @briff_c I wouldn’t say it was accepted so easily. Sylphie was also already used to a polygamous household (the Greyrats are her second home) and Rudeus has spent a third of his life living in the new world and its culture. Hell, he spends more time engaging with its culture than his own.

@z_ARTs96 @Mertvyi_ @Hideo_Fufujima I play gooner games plenty. Neptunia is one of my favorite franchises. I don’t see what about her design is “appallingly bad” at all. What actually is the problem? As a standalone design, what’s actually the issue here? She reminds me of lots of mech/robot focused anime.

@Mertvyi_ @Hideo_Fufujima I mean I RTed it bc their take was 100% legit. You know you done something wrong with your design when I, the most "gooner who likes to make fun of ppl who cry about fanservice" thinks the design is appallingly bad, bc it is. If you don't see the "problem", it's ok I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

@HyunYuuX I just keep Sunna - Zhao - Shung. If it’s something you start with EX gauge filled, I start Sunna EX, swap Zhao, into Shung. If it’s not, just hard swap through the Shung and then grind out those other three pips.

@DJWarnerStage @chonzodraws The standard Zelda has set definitely includes making solutions multiple choice very often. Some puzzles will require specific solutions and TotK does fairly well in structuring things that need specific solutions.

its def not a bad game i would never say that, it is way to polished. I will say however it is an exceptionally lackluster follow up that is very disappointing for the standards zelda has set. It also in design is very antithetical to zeldas puzzle approach of limited tools with defined solutions by making solution multiple choice.

@BurnerABC @momiji_doa Him saying "everyone who has played it claims that..." entails that he has not even played it enough to have his own opinion on it. If he was to just mention how the general audience perceived the game he would word this differently.
