The truth doesn't always make the front page on its own. Sometimes it takes a journalist willing to keep telling it until the country finally listens. Burn Pits 360 is proud to recognize Jake Tapper — @CNN's Chief Washington Correspondent and anchor of The Lead with Jake Tapper — as our PACT Act Trailblazer in Truth Journalism, to be honored at this year's Gala of Valor. Jake cannot attend in person but plans to send a video with remarks. Tapper's career is a study in accountability: a Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Political Journalism, Variety and Rolling Stone's 2025 Truth Seekers Award, and reporting so consequential it helped free a wrongfully convicted teenager. But it's his years standing with those who served that speak loudest to us. Through The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor, his work as an ambassador for Homes for Our Troops, and the annual auction he leads to build mortgage-free homes for severely wounded veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, Tapper has made sure our service members' sacrifices are never lost to the news cycle. For that commitment, the Congressional Medal of Honor Society awarded him its "Tex" McCrary Award for Excellence in Journalism. Truth is how injustice gets exposed. It's how the PACT Act became law. And it's how the fight for veterans and families harmed by toxic exposure keeps moving forward. Jake Tapper — thank you for telling the stories that matter. Join us in congratulating him virtually at the Gala of Valor. Some spend a lifetime in service. A rare few spend that lifetime making sure no one who served is ever left behind. Burn Pits 360 is proud to name Retired U.S. Army Colonel David W. Sutherland our 2026 Advocate of the Year, to be honored at this year's Gala of Valor. Across three decades in uniform — multiple combat deployments and a tour as Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Warrior and Family Support — Colonel Sutherland led at every level, from platoon to brigade combat team. But it's the nearly two decades since that define this honor. As Chair of the Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services, he has helped communities, organizations, and local leaders build the capacity to integrate veterans and their families — and help them thrive. That mission runs parallel to our own: making sure those harmed by toxic exposure are seen, supported, and never forgotten. A Soldier for Life. A tireless advocate. A true partner in the fight. Colonel Sutherland — this recognition is earned. Join us in congratulating him, and stand with us at the Gala of Valor. Burn Pits 360 applauds the introduction of the AIR CARE for Veterans Act (H.R. 9666). 🇺🇸 This bipartisan bill — from Rep. Juan Ciscomani and Rep. Chris Pappas — directs the VA to pilot FDA-approved four-dimensional lung imaging to catch the respiratory disease and lung conditions that conventional testing too often misses in veterans exposed to burn pits. "Every Veteran has the right to know what is happening inside their lungs. Being believed is not a privilege, it is a right." — Burn Pits 360 co-founder, Capt. Le Roy Torres, U.S. Army (Ret.) We fought for the PACT Act and won. Better imaging is the next step: earlier answers, faster claims, lives saved. Read the bill on Congress.gov: congress.gov/bill/119th-con… Read the full announcement, including statements from the bill's sponsors and Captain Torres: 4dmedical.com/wp-content/upl… #BurnPits360 #PACTAct #ToxicExposure #VeteransHealth #AIRCAREforVets #HR9666

📋 Attention male veterans — a recent VA policy change may affect your breast cancer benefits. Yes, men get breast cancer too, and many veterans developed it after toxic exposure during their service. Here's what changed. In 2022, Congress passed the PACT Act, which made it easier for veterans who served in the Gulf or Horn of Africa after August 1990, or in the Middle East or Central Asia after September 2001, to receive disability compensation for certain conditions — including breast cancer — by presuming they are connected to service. In 2024, the VA confirmed this applied to both men and women. But in 2025, the VA reversed course for men. Male veterans with breast cancer must now prove their diagnosis is connected to their military service — a burden their female counterparts do not carry. A coalition of the National Veterans Legal Services Program, the National Women's Law Center, the ACLU, and Democracy Forward is working to connect with veterans who have been — or will be — impacted by this change. If you are a male veteran with breast cancer, or you know one, please reach out to Lucy Zhou at lzhou@nwlc.org. 🔁 Please share this post. A few seconds of your time could reach a veteran or family who needs it. In partnership with @NationalVeteransLegalServicesProgram · @NationalWomensLawCenter · @ACLU · @DemocracyForward #PACTAct #VeteransHealth #BurnPits360 #ToxicExposure #VeteranBenefits #BreastCancerAwareness

For more than a decade, our community has been saying the same thing: we were exposed, and it made us sick. We fought for recognition. We fought for the PACT Act. We won. But recognition isn't the finish line. Proof is. That's why Burn Pits 360 is partnering with Vanderbuilt University Medical Center on the Southern Environmental Health Study — research into how environmental exposures affect long-term health, including cancer and other chronic diseases. Researchers are currently recruiting adults ages 30–70 living in the southern U.S. to participate. What participation looks like: ✔️ A survey about your health and environment ✔️ Wear a simple wristband for 7 days to measure exposures ✔️ Optional biological samples ✔️ Compensation provided No clinic visits. No travel required to get started. Just the kind of data our community has been fighting for. We cannot solve what we do not measure. This is how we move from “I think this caused it” to “We can prove it.” If you're eligible — or you know someone who is — #GetLoud one more time. 🔗 sehstudy.org/info?utm_sourc… 📞 855-710-9489 #BurnPits360 #GetLoud #ToxicExposure #VeteransHealth #ResearchMatters

At Burn Pits 360, everything we do begins with one belief: no one who served should have to face their health alone. It's the belief that built this organization from a kitchen table, and it's the reason we're excited to share our partnership with Ways2Well. Through our Warrior Hope Network program, we only partner with companies who embody the Warrior ethos — organizations that understand the sacrifice, resilience, and unique needs of those who served. #Ways2Well is a Texas-based health optimization company focused on functional and regenerative care, opening a new door for the people we serve. Through this partnership, Veterans, first responders, and family members nominated by Burn Pits 360 can access regenerative health services as part of their own recovery journeys. Two veterans just completed their treatments. Some famous faces treated by their team include Joe Rogan and Jelly Roll, among others. We knew we should partner with a team that attracts clientele of that caliber, and who share such positive results. Learn more: burnpits360.org/blogs/news/sta… #burnpits360 #pactact

82 years ago, American soldiers stormed Normandy. They came home to a country still learning how to care for them. Today, the Amie Muller Research Programs make sure post-9/11 veterans don't wait 30 years for their wounds to be recognized. 🔗 bit.ly/3vneWg4

Sometimes the strongest case for our work isn't made by us. It's made by the families. By the veterans who stood on the Senate steps for the PACT Act. Watch. Share. And if it moves you — do something with that. 🔗 bit.ly/4lRvQMx

Most Americans think of war wounds as the ones you can see. Veterans we serve often carry: PTSD. Toxic Brain Injury. Burn pit–related illness. Most carry more than one. That's why integrated care matters. That's why we exist. 🔗 bit.ly/3vneWg4

June 1: PTSD Awareness Month begins. The war doesn't end at homecoming for too many veterans. The Warrior Hope Network fills the gaps the VA can't — peer support, oxygen therapy, integrative care, special needs grants. 🔗 bit.ly/4ebCtaH
