@gengelstein I thought a lot about how the implementation might be and one thing I really wanted to see in The Defect’s table top iteration was a mancala system. Perfect adaptation imo

I'm a huge fan of Slay the Spire. But I only see downsides to the boardgame version. It is clearly IMO _too_ faithful to the original. If I want that experience, I'll just play the video game. I was hoping for a different take, not just a slavish port of electrons to cardboard.

I really like it. I love octoberfest flavors in general, but I don't like high alcohol content beer, which usually puts me off pumpkin ales. At 5.6%, this is a new seasonal favorite. I rate this a 10/10. 🍻

Curious what #boardgames twitter thinks of the count down ending mechanism in Bonfire. Do you like this soft landing, where everyone kind of gets to finish up neatly, or a hard stop more common in euro games? (I forgot to ask Brendan his thoughts on this on the pod. 😅)
