P1a have completed their six week block of ice skating at @dundeeice today. They have loved learning this new skill, as you can see from their smiling faces!

It was great to see school children back at @BurnsidePS last week (27 February) after Storm Otto damaged part of the roof to the school building. The staff have done an amazing job to rejig the school so the children could return much quicker than anticipated. Well done!

P4/5 have been working on the 'Bouncebackability' from Beano! The children are learning about their emotions and how to manage stress & difficult situations through drama, writing and lots of talking. We have all loved this piece of learning ❤️🖤 @BeanoOfficial

Our 'Burnside Gardeners' worked hard last term to get our garden up and running. This term, they've been able to pick some veg and use it for cooking. #freshproduce #Homegrown

P7 have taken part in Live Lessons with Encounter Edu. They joined scientists and engineers live from the Indian Ocean where the Nekton Mission are using submersibles to survey the ocean floor. They learned about how these work and the science of forces 🌊

Our Voice of the Pupil group are leading our journey towards achieveing the Bronze award for a Rights Respecting Schools. The group have been making posters to share with the wider school community today 🌎💚

A group of our P4/5 pupils are learning life skills by baking cookies, following hygiene rules and cleaning up after themselves. They are loving our cooking room in school 🍪😋

What a quick first term back at school. As always, Health & Wellbeing has been at the forefront of teaching and learning. Pupils have been working on 'Celebrated & Included' in their new classes and enjoying fabulous experiences in and outwith school 🧡
