Delhi gets another 300 electric buses 🚌🙌🏽 Why has Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Kolkata, Pune, etc cities failed to induct/expand e-buses. I keep hearing “powertrain component shortages” but GoI literally relaxed rare earth magnets imports criteria.. then how does Delhi do it?

In Delhi NCR, ~7 in 10 peak-hour cars carry just 1 person. They clog roads & block each bus moving equivalent people of 40 cars. Pic 1: 42 DTC buses stuck on a 1.5 km stretch at Mahipalpur. Pic 2: 14 DTC buses at one junction near Masoodpur. This is exactly what BRT fixes.

With Introduction of DEVI buses by the Delhi Transport Corporation with rationalised routes, my previous travel time of 30-35 minutes to reach the DMRC metro station has been reduced to 8 minutes. That’s right, FREAKING 8 MINUTES. In just ₹10/trip in AC electric bus.
