Michael Rubin and team put together a world class event for Collectibles.
I am shocked.
The amount of whales walking around Javits Center today was unprecedented for our hobby.
The excitement is off the charts. The energy was unmatched.
People can comfortably go all in on Collectibles as a business. The trends are telling people that we are just at the beginning of something so major.

Walmart bought Wayne Gretzky's infamous T206 Honus Wagner and and ran a massive sweepstakes campaign to drum up card sales in 1996.
The winner was a Florida postal worker who auctioned it for $640,500.
It's worth ~$50m today.
Imagine a Wagner sweepstakes in 2026 ...

This was the card of Covid.
But for only 20,000 sheets made in 1994, shocked so many survived.
In last five years, total population of these cards nearly doubled. 1.5% of those made are in PSA cases.

To advance your collection you have to be willing to take calculated risks. I had started a thread on the PSA message board indicating I was looking for the 1994 Miami Hurricanes Bumble Bee sets with Dwayne Johnson as I thought it had huge potential. A dude from Miami whose mom worked for the team did a Google search and found my thread and created an account and sent me a message and said he had a signed sheet and some loose ones and wanted to sell them. He was asking a decent amount and I was supposed to drive to Miami to check them out but just said F it I will take my chances and sent him the cash. Years later I broke the sheet apart and a signed in college copy resides in a PSA/DNA holder. One of my coolest cards.
