🚨 RECRUITING UPDATE 🚨 A lot of college coaches are focused on: ➡️ Transfer portal athletes (or top seniors) ➡️ 2027 class The 2026 class? It’s all over the place right now. • Many coaches don’t know what they need yet — because they don’t know who’s staying or leaving. • If you get an offer right now as a 2026, it means you’re viewed as a true IMPACT PLAYER. • “We aren’t sure what we need in 2026 because it depends on who we get out of the portal & how much eligibility they have left.” This is NOT every school, but it’s a trend I’m seeing. Be so good they can’t tell you no!

Recruiting Takeaways after chatting with a few (DI) Mid-Major College Coaches today: 📌 High School Athletes: The most talented recruits are in the driver’s seat. They can take their time, weigh offers, and “shop” around to see what else is out there. 📌 Transfer Portal: If you enter the portal with limited stats, the college coach takes the wheel. They’re usually talking to 10+ players in your spot—ranking you by position—and if you’re not near the top, you’ll be waiting. 📌 Overall: It’s harder now to get recruited than even a few years ago. My advice? Be so good they can’t ignore you. Work ethic still matters. REMINDER: The coaches recruiting you are the ones who believe you can play at their level.
