@ghoulbasement Yeah, clearing out my uncle’s house and they were all like that. They’d been left in an outhouse exposed to bright sunlight and seasonal temperature shifts.

Ever have a DVD case simply fall apart? Unsure what happened but this one got super brittle. Barely touch it and the plastic cracks apart. Had to replace it.

@LexG_III He did Bobby Deerfield and Author! Author! as well - all the early Pacino flops. Thank god Al didn’t lobby for him doing Scarface.

@LexG_III I stopped whatever I was listening to and put that straight on. An amazingly entertaining two hours, laughed all the way through. The line about Heather Langenkamp dating Bill Maher, so accurate and funny.

@LexG_III A fellow Peter Sellers fan. He’s a bit forgotten over here now. I started a new job a few years ago and had to list my favourite actor as part of an ice-breaker session. “Peter Sellers”, I said. Blank looks from everyone. I felt like the oldest man in the world.

@LexG_III Hey, I’ve missed this debate. I recall EWS having very warm orange / yellow tones, like it was shot in a similar style to Barry Lyndon. Am I supposed to not be able to remember this?

@blazingmagnums @LexG_III Sorry to bump an old reply but i was listening to the pod in a public place and laughed aloud at that line. It’s followed by a fairly savvy analysis of Winner’s technique. Humour and education in one package.

@DonaldClarke63 And, from experience, I can tell you that the same people who bitterly complain about intrusive questioning also bitterly complain when they are held liable for scam losses.

@LexG_III There’s a disc with a commentary by Christina Raines and she’s not a fan of Winner, doesn’t seem to have a enjoyed making the film very much. A shame as it’s a fun movie and one of the few 1970s big studio horrors that goes high on the ick factor.

Still irritating the crap "Version You've Never Seen" has basically become The Exorcist now. Couldn't stand it when I saw it theatrically and it's only gotten worse. Now they're even calling it the "Director's Cut".

@LexG_III One of the few 1970’s Caine films I’ve never been able to see. Always mix it up with PULP, another mid-70s Caine vehicle that references old Noir movies.
