To be extremely clear - nobody 'wants them to suffer.' We want people who need their basic needs subsidized by others to only have necessities via handout, not recreation. This is expensive for the average american who doesn't get govt handouts, giving free access to those already receiving handouts on the taxpayer is wild.

Also, farmers are getting subsidies because of the tariffs & a lot of them are still having to sell up, so there's no returns on that money. & There are billions going to corporations as well.
