No woman is doing all the housework while her partner sits around doing nothing. You all keep dragging out some 1950s fantasy and pretending it still applies today. Nobody is cooking, cleaning, and handling every chore daily while also working a full-time job. People do heavy cleaning on weekends and light cleaning during the week. At this point, it’s like you’re all programmed to think the same way. No logic at all. Yall act like only women are married whole men are all single or something.

Imagine working over 60 hours a week, including 20 hours of overtime, doing physically exhausting work that gradually wears your body down all so your family never has to worry about bills, your children can attend the best schools and have savings for their future, and your wife is financially secure even after you’re gone, inheriting your properties so she won’t be left homeless or struggling after your death. Then you come home after a long day and she looks you in the eye and says she can’t cook or clean because she’s “not a slave.”or not your mother” So sacrificing your time, your health, and your life isn’t slavery…..but contributing to the household in other ways is slavery? In this harsh economy? fuck her and wokeness.

@T65L My company is a team environment with shared assignments and always new people being hired. Work is divided up evenly and based on how many people are available. And they can bring in temporary contract workers if needed. No one is working extra because someone goes on leave.

@ButtercupPB You must work at a really amazing company because i've never heard of one that pays the person extra who is stuck with the work of the woman on maternity leave.

Jordan Peterson drops a truth most modern families don’t want to hear: “Daycare under three — especially in the first year — is really not advisable. There isn’t any form of care that can replace a mother’s care in those early years.” He calls it “quite remarkable” that we’ve engineered a world where staying home with young children has become a luxury for most families — “as if by design.” Decades of research (still largely unchanged) shows the critical attachment window in the first 3 years is uniquely supported by consistent, responsive maternal care. Disruptions here correlate with measurable increases in stress reactivity, behavioral issues, and later emotional difficulties. The question we’re afraid to ask: Have we made motherhood incompatible with economic survival on purpose? Parents (especially moms of young kids): Do you feel this pressure — that staying home feels like a luxury you can’t afford? Or have you seen the difference in your own children between early daycare vs. being home those first years? Your honest take 👇

@ButtercupPB I believe that husbands and wives are equal partners with different divine roles and responsibilities. I also believe that fathers should be loving and mothers should be responsible.

@defense_of_fam Not “interchangeable.” But both nurturers and both providers. That’s a known fact to anyone raised in a family with loving fathers and responsible mothers.

@T65L @newstart_2024 What in the world are you talking about? Your complaint was that your boss forced you to do both your own job and the job of a coworker on maternity leave, with no extra pay. That’s on your boss.

@ButtercupPB @newstart_2024 how does one prove they were fired or not hired because they were pregnant? Those kinds of laws are ridiculous. mid level bosses don't usually have the power of the purse.

@defense_of_fam False. Both mothers and fathers equally nurture and equally provide and protect. The best thing for children is for both parents to do both. Otherwise, children are left with financial insecurity and lack of proper nurturing from both parents.

@ButtercupPB Except it’s not. A father and a mother benefit their children in different but essential ways. A mother’s primary role is to nurture. A father’s primary role is to provide and protect. These two equal but different halves create the best outcomes for children.

@T65L @newstart_2024 Um, again, what? It is the law that an employer cannot discriminate against a person who is pregnant. They cannot refuse to hire a pregnant person or fire a person for taking FMLA leave. That is the employer’s responsibility. If your boss is mistreating you, that’s on your boss.

@ButtercupPB @newstart_2024 during the interview process, questions about familial status are rightfully not allowed by law. hence, pregnancy should be only the pregnant person's responsibility.some work can't be done by a temp because of confidentiality.

@CaptBanisher @LizzieMarbach @BritHugoboom Female virginity used to be more valued for a logical reason—a man had no way to verify his wife’s child was genetically his unless he could guarantee she had only slept w/ him. Now we have DNA testing, so there is no reason to value female virginity more than male virginity.

@LizzieMarbach @BritHugoboom Several false premises. Men can't "whore" around, that's a female specific term. Consuming porn is not even close to being equivalent to fornication Female virginity is much more valued and important than male virginity. It's clear if you live in reality and if you read the bible

If you talk to any boy between the ages of 18-22, he’ll likely tell you that he’s frustrated with dating because it seems like every girl is on OnlyFans or sleeping around. Then he opens a social media app and the first thing he sees is some guy happy because he waited while his wife slept around but it’s okay because she found Jesus. So the average young boy is reading it frustrated because it sounds like this guy is a cuck and if he follows this path, he too will end up with a reformed hoe. Marriage needs a better marketing campaign. Many people have never seen a powerful marriage in real life. Everyone dreams of love and romance and feels like it’s no longer achievable in this age. Additionally, good girls also feel Prodigal son’d when they see posts like these because when a girl does bad things and “sees the light” she still keeps all the OF money and gets speaking engagements, fame, and a guy simping over her anyway. Not saying people can’t change, but these posts don’t inspire the ones who need inspiration. They just end up pissing off the guys and girls trying to date.

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

I had a conversation with a doctor that trains residents. She said she doesn’t know how the medical system can stay the same because these young people don’t want to put in the long hours necessary. She said that doctors expect “work life balance” and that wasn’t a concept when she was up and coming. I wonder if other doctors are noticing the same issue?

@annbauerwriter The government and people in the two parties would rather hurt their “enemies” in the other party than help America as a whole. The TSA thing is just one example of this. Trump celebrating Mueller’s death is another. There’s no civility anymore. It’s all hate and scorched earth.

It's gotten to the point where every public ritual in America is a standoff between the parties. Boarding a plane. Attending a memorial. Seeing a movie. It's enervating and works only to the benefit of the handful of people in power. Why do we let them get away with this?

@T65L @newstart_2024 Um, what? You’re making no sense. Companies are required to allow 12 weeks FMLA maternity leave. They know when someone is on maternity leave, because the person signs up for leave. They should plan for a temp in the worker’s absence.

@T65L @newstart_2024 You shouldn’t, but that’s your boss’s fault. A decent boss would hire a temp or give you extra pay if you agreed to take on extra work. Stupid to blame a person for having a baby instead of blaming your boss who didn’t handle it professionally.

@ckieser13 I’d never heard this with 8th graders, but it’s been going on with kindergarteners since I grew up in the 80s, especially boys. If someone had a fairly young 5-year-old, they’d hold them back until they were 6, in part because he would theoretically be more advantaged for sports.
