@ButteredEgg_S @pepperonibyte see here’s the reason the roblox group startegy works: the groups are how predators lure in victims. sure they could just not join the groups. but then their access to vulnerable children would be harder to obtain. but that isnt the point the point is roblox’s solution is worse

@horialmighty @pepperonibyte Even if the bot did use Roblox group data, the issue then becomes players simply not joining the underlying group. The only "root" connection is the experience. This is why Rocleaner is inefficient. Players just learn what the underlying flag is and avoid it

@horialmighty @pepperonibyte I'd like to see that video. From what I've heard, rocleaner is a discord bot. The second paragraph is in response to what would happen if you tried to implement Ro-cleaner/Ruben Sim's approach on Roblox. The issue isn't the data.

@horialmighty @pepperonibyte As it stands, the system is worse than nothing. However, due to regulation pressure I don't think doing nothing was an option, and I still believe this is "bad" solution is better than the alternatives in terms of effectiveness and immediate quality of life

@horialmighty @pepperonibyte Not to mention, Roblox's Face ID system is definitely a strong deterrent. Is it poorly made and ineffective? Yes, but if it works effectively as I assume they're working towards, then committing crimes with your face attached to it is the stronger deterrent of all.
