@Adroit_Cadet The difference between Poch and Iraola is that Iraola is innovative. Poch was more a function of his time (but early adopter in the PL). I think Julian in the PL will flop. Hard.

Been asked this a lot, as well as Carrick/United manager situation.... I like Iraola. He's basically Poch at Southampton/early Spurs days. His team seems among the the fittest in the league They are aggressive; press like maniacs, pierce teams in transition. 'Funcitonal' possession principles However, I'm just not sure if I've seen enough layers to him. I think he's more suited to a Newcastle/Villa/Spurs type job, where he can mould around his intensity-first playing model I want a coach who: - Stamps a possession model; sees possession as the main tool of control (but not variant-phobic) - Presses - Adaptable - Utilizes transitions - Understand what the games call for; sometimes it's pragmatism And, well, I suppose that leaves you with Nagelsmann ticking all (hast improved the last); Tuchel ticking all (but imo, has gone a tiny bit too pragmatic) and Xabi. Only ones I'd want is Julian or Xabi, and the only realistic one is probably Julian

@lauriewhitwell Biggest issue with Iraola is that his requirements for midfielders is very different from the rest of the names on that list. Iraola would probably prefer investments in cheaper midfielders, and rather spend more on attacking flair and player who progress the ball out wide.

@AndreasSteno @mikaelmilhoj Dømming er generelt veldig tilfeldig i fotball-Europa. Spillerne må lære seg reglene og slutte å ta dumme valg. Å gjøre det der med gult kort fra før er mye dummere enn beslutningen til dommeren.

@MagnusBarstad Hvordan er repertoaret større? Hvilke baller var det Beckham ikke kunne slå som Trent gjør? Holder en knapp på Beckham. Han kunne slå de ballene Trent og KdB gjør i høyere fart og med mindre tid og rom rundt seg.

Folk som vræler om at Trent er dårlig er det kjedeligste jeg vet om. Høyrefoten er fort vekk tidenes. Bedre enn Beckham fordi repertoaret er faktisk større. Kan slå alle baller på alle måter. Når angrepsspillerne lærer seg det så er han et helt angrep alene.

Leaves few answers this summer. Luis Enrique signed a new deal. Ancelotti not wanting to return to club football, Nagelsmann unsure on what he actually wants. Tuchel seemingly disagrees with INEOS on key points. United might simply just have to stick with Carrick and wait and see

I think there is a realisation amongst clubs that the coaching market is very limited. Manchester United having a similar problem to what Bayern did a couple of years ago. Remember how it was almost laughable how they struggled to find a candidate. Nagelsmann return to Rangnick

Mange er sikkert lei (eller er i ferd med å bli det?) jeg mener folk gjemmer seg veldig bak "kvalitetsbegrepet" og historikken til en del av disse selskapene. SaaS-aksjer og mye annet har fått bank, ja... Dog er dette berettiget. Forretningsmodellene står i fare for å bli disruptert. Ser du på durabilitet på selskapene som en faktor vil du se at kvalitet fortsatt ruler. Se på Assa Abloy, Alfa Laval... Hvem skal disruptere dem? Eksisterer de slik vi kjenner de om 10 år? Ja. Eksisterer Bouvet slik vi kjenner dem om 10 år, Evolution osv? Kanskje, men i samme dominante posisjon? Neppe. Derfor ser man disse selskapene få bank. Et nøkkelord som jeg tenker enhver investorer her bør ha i bakhodet før de kjøper ting som ser ut som "billig kvalitet": Durabilitet.

Here's how STATSWING treated the same, fundamentally scientific/methodological concern, in our v1. (As an aside, GS distributing grades-as-a-product without having integrated retrodiction testing OR cross-sport normalization feels very epistemically misleading. Both these things are rather elementary towards making a robust grading system IMO.)

Stiller playing under Carrick would be absolutely insane—it’s a match made in heaven. Him and Baleba as our primary duo just feels right. It’s the perfect balance of brains and physical power. You get Stiller’s elite technical control and Carrick-esque passing, combined with Baleba’s raw power and ball-winning. Getting both of them for the price of one Elliot Anderson is exactly the kind of logical business we should be doing to actually transform the squad.

My assumption is that MUFC will go for Tonali and baleba. My thought is that they should go for Garner, Mateus, and one more.
