That is done because of: 1. There are more accidents and claims overall 2. Rising repair costs and car parts prices 3. Inflation is one of the big contributors 4. Vehicle theft rates especially for the kind of car you drive when you drive a car that falls under the “high risk” category your problems will be many. 5. There are legal claim expenses 6. Your area becoming higher risk contributes to your premiums as well. 7. Your car losing safety/value advantages with age 8. Changes in your driving or claims history as well. Even if you never claimed, the insurance company adjusts prices based on broader market risk and payout trends.
